Bedgerabong Picnic Race Club's once a year meeting will be held on Saturday, 14 February 2009. It is one of three big picnic race meetings in the region in February with other meetings held at Condobolin and Tottenham.

The picnic racecourse of Bedgerabong, situated 32km west of Forbes, has been described as "the Randwick of the West".

A 40-strong committee runs the Bedgerabong Race meeting and a crowd of more than 4000 is expected to attend as its popularity grows every year. This years meeting also features the judging of the Land newspaper “Hunks and Spunks” competition.
